Friends and family of Alan Wedderkopp, who passed away on Friday 16th July, would like to commemorate his incredible life and passion for the community he represented with a personalised bench in Comeytrowe Park, a place he loved.

Alan represented Wilton and Sherford on Somerset West and Taunton Council and Comeytrowe and Trull on Somerset County Council over many years and was a well-know and popular figure.
Alan was a real force of nature, well-known and popular in the area he represented, with a passion for the environment, particularly on the issue of flooding (how right he was), affordable homes and maintaining green spaces. He loved to help people.
He led a fascinating life with his many roles and places he had travelled meaning he always had wonderful stories to tell. Not only this but his natural charm, wit and good humour meant that he left an incredible impression on those who met him and in the Liberal Democrats.
Please help us show appreciation for his incredible life by helping us raise money for this bench. Any excess raised will go towards fighting the subsequent by-elections.
