As bus routes continue to be cut under the Tory-led Somerset County Council, your local Liberal Democrats Councillors are deeply concerned at the impact this will have on local people through Blackbrook and Holway.

Here are the proposed changes by Buses of Somerset (commencing on 30th October):

Taunton Town Service 5 (Parade – Calder Crescent) and Service 6 (Parade – Juniper Road)
Service 5 will no longer operate but Service 6 is revised to become a circular service combining most of existing routes 5 and 6.

Rowan Drive and Hawthorn Road on the current service 6 will no longer be served and customers will need to walk to Chestnut Drive instead. The service will also no longer go to town via South Road.

Redlake Drive, Thames Drive and Calder Crescent on the current service 5 will no longer be served. Customers from Redlake Drive will need to walk through to new stops in Ashbourne Crescent on the revised service 6 and customers from Thames Drive and Calder Crescent will need to walk through to Hamilton Road where service 21 runs into Taunton.

Your local Lib Dem Councillors are seeking to petition Buses of Somerset to stop these changes, but we need your help.

Buses should serve ALL members of a community and not just some!
If you would like to see the number 5 and number 6 buses saved, then please put down your details and

send this petition back to us. You can also find the petition online at, if you’d prefer. We need these back by 24th October, so we can present the petitions to Buses of Somerset in time.
