Taunton Town Liberal Democrats invite you to hear Alison Orman speak on "Everyday Life in the West Bank, Keeping Hope Alive?".

Alison has visited the West Bank multiple times, meeting locals, activists and religious & political figures to discuss the issues facing people in their day to day life, as well as helping local farmers with the annual olive harvest. Over this time she has built many close friendships and will share with us stories from their lives as well as first hand tales of her own travels. It is sure to offer a unique insight into a troubled area of the world, and to give us the chance to consider for ourselves if there is still hope for Israelis and Palestinians to live in peaceful co-existence.

The talk will be accompanied by a buffet lunch of authentic food from the region to add to the experience and understanding of everyday life in this part of the world.

It promises to be an interesting and informative afternoon. It will be held from 1pm on Saturday 12th October at Staplegrove Village Hall, where there is some parking available. Tickets are £10 including lunch and the talk. To get your tickets email [email protected].
