SAVE OUR LIBRARIES

Do you want your libraries closed because of Tory cuts?  You may help keep our libraries open if you sign below.

PETITION : To stop the closure of Libraries in Taunton Deane

Why?

Our Libraries are hubs for everyone, especially families and children for whom access to books is strongly linked to levels of literacy.  They are a fantastic way to connect up with our local communities and offer a range of activities, including hosting book clubs, support groups, events, children’s story time, internet access to employment and training opportunities and help with using technology as well as resources for research… the list goes on.

The range of facilities and services that our Libraries provide are invaluable and this can be seen in the footfall where last year our local libraries were used over 420,000 times.

But libraries across Taunton Deane, including at Priorswood and Wiveliscombe are under threat. We must not allow the Conservatives running Somerset County Council to close them, in the same way they have just decided to close 16 Children’s Centres in the County.

Sign the petition and help us save Taunton Deane Libraries
