 Ross Henley

I have been a local district councillor since 1991 and was the youngest district councillor in the country when elected. I went on to be Lib Dem Group Leader for 9 years and district council leader for 3 years . In my time as a district councillor I have held several council cabinet roles .

I also have 20 years experience of being a county councillor and was deputy leader of somerset council for 6 years.

In 2016, after a break from being a district councillor, I returned to the Taunton Deane Borough Council after winning a by-election with a record breaking 45% swing from the Conservatives.

I love the Blackdown hills and take pleasure in attending the many community events that take place. I also make sure I attend parish council meetings regularly and love visiting the villages in my ward.
