Trull, Pitminster & Corfe

DAWN JOHNSON

I am well-known in Trull for my performances with Trull Players, my work with the Trull Party in the Park and for my walks through the fields and laneswith my rather noisy Labradoodle Poppy. I have lived in Staplehay since 1999 where my 3 children attended local schools, scouts and clubs. Other voluntary work has been as Chair of the Trull Primary PTA, Social Secretary for Trull Tennis Club and Secretary for Trull Players.

I am a member of Trull Parish Council and have enjoyed working with my colleagues there to achieve much on behalf of the village.

I am thrilled now to have this opportunity to represent the different villages on the district council. I have campaigned on many local issues and have much experience in acting as a village representative through work on the developments at Comeytrowe and Broadlands, work on Canonsgrove and work on the Trull Neighbourhood Plan. I believe passionately in listening to the community and can be trusted to listen and act on your behalf.

SARAH WAKEFIELD

Sarah has lived in Pitminster and Blagdon Hill for over 25 years.

She works locally and has been a member of and former Chair of Pitminster Parish Council and of the PTA at Trull School when her three children were pupils.

She is a member of her local church and new hall committee in Blagdon Hill.

Sarah is looking forward to representing this new ward and raising such issues as speeding traffic through our villages, lack of public transport and minimising the adverse impacts of the huge housing development planned.

Our villages need to be protected from rat running vehicles and the Trull area must retain its separate vibrant community and not be swallowed up in the spread of the town.

She is proud that Liberal Democrat plans for Taunton are based on protecting on protecting the environment and finally getting Firepool built.
