Gideon Amos OBE

In November 2022, Gideon Amos was selected to be the Liberal Democrat candidate for Taunton Deane (and its successor constituency) for the next general election in 2024. 

Gideon grew up in Somerset and lives in Taunton. He is married to Caroline and they have 4 children.

Gideon is a chartered architect and town planner and has helped deliver several affordable new homes for local families. He is presently working on wind farms and renewable energy projects around the UK. Gideon has served in the Territorial Army and was awarded an OBE for services to sustainable development.

I will always put YOU first. I will fight to ensure we have properly funded and staffed public services like in the NHS and the police. I will work to make sure everyone gets the help they need when things get tough, from rising energy bills to childcare.

I will make sure that I am visible in your community and will respond to residents needs and concerns. I will champion local businesses.

Protecting our planet

I will push for care for the environment to be essential in our policy-making and to be a fundamental part of our economy, giving us energy security.

Gideon and the Liberal Democrats are the clear challengers to the Conservatives in Taunton Deane with an ever-increasing vote - Labour and the Greens won’t be able to challenge.
